If you can't find your sony model #

If you have a Sony notebook that was manufactured before the summer of 2000, the model name would be on the bottom of the computer. (An example of a model name would be a Sony PCG F540.)

After the summer of 2000, the model number of the notebook was moved to a label inside on the lower right corner of the LCD panel. Not on the bottom of the notebook. The number that appears on the on the bottom of the notebook is the configuration code. (For a Sony PC- F540 an example of a configuration code is PC- 9241).

Please locate your model number from the computer and match it to the list at the left. Currently, it is not possible to look up by configuration code.
